While it is certainly true that an over reliance of tools can lead to a duller sense of intuition and extra-sensory abilities, reliable equipment is invaluable in any paranormal investigation.
Here’s a list of basic things you need to get started:
- Journal. A journal is one of the most reliable tools to use in noting down observations and findings. It also offers little interference to any paranormal entities.
- A Tape recorder can be used as an alternate tool to record your own observations and findings. However, they are also useful in investigating electronic voice phenomenon and instances where there are paranormal sounds unable to be detected by the human ear.
- A Camera for recording images. Don’t rely on your phone camera, try using an analogue camera if possible.
- Compass. Paranormal entities often have effects on magnetic fields. A compass can alert you to these presences.
